Crash near Radium Hot Springs kills Alberta women

A 45-year-old Alberta women is dead after her vehicle lost control and swerved into the path of a southbound bus Sunday afternoon near Radium Hot Springs.

East Kootenay Traffic Services and Columbia Valley RCMP responded to a two-vehicle accident at approximately 4 p.m.  on Highway 93/95 near Radium. 

The northbound vehicle, driven by the Alberta women, lost control and swerved into the path of the southbound bus.  

The driver of the car was transported to Invermere hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The driver, who was the single occupant of the bus, was uninjured.   

The collision is still under investigation, but speed to fast for the road conditions is expected.
