Gresley-Jones, Coletti make cut at B.C. Men's Amateur Golf Championships
Josh Coletti of Granite Pointe and Ben Gresley-Jones of Rossland/Trail made the cut and will play in round three following day two of the B.C. Men’s Amateur Golf Championship Wednesday at The Dunes in Kamloops.
Both West Kootenay players carded identical rounds of 74 to slip under the cut line — Coletti by the narrowest of margins.
Gresley-Jones, slipping from 22nd spot Tuesday, sits tied for 40th spot while Coletti is tied for 66th.
Coletti is on a golf scholarship with the Missouri Valley Vikings in Marshall, Missouri.
Granite Pointe’s Jordan Melanson, who plays for Simon Fraser University Clan, and Adam Pangburn of Kaslo both missed the cut.
Richard Jung of Toronto leads the field at 8-under-par following a second round 69 on the 7,131-yard par 72 The Dunes course.
Jung holds a one-stroke lead over Craig Doell of Victoria and first-round leader Jeremy Osborne of Salmon Arm.
Kevin Carrigan and Cory Renfrew, both of Victoria, are two and three shots, respectively, behind Jung.
Round three goes Thursday while the final round set for Friday in the 72-hole tournament.
