Blasters defeated City rival Mustangs in all-Trail Final at the Salmo Days Slopitch Tournament Canada Day weekend; Castlegar's Misfits win B event over Salty Nuts

It was an all-Trail final at the annual Salmo Days Slopitch Tournament this past Canada Day weekend in Salmo.

Coming out top was the Rocky Dickson-coached Blasters from the Silver City as the squad edged out rivals Mustangs in the A-Final of the 22-team tournament.

In the B-Final the Misfits of Castlegar continued their surprising run as the squad dumped the Salty Nuts to claim the consolation crown.

The Salty Nuts are also from Castlegar.

In C-Final action, Castlegar’s Bashers defeated the Brewsers of Fruitvale to win the top prize while the Trail/Genelle Whalers won the D-Event over the Trail Cubs.

Teams from Nelson were shutout of the prizes.
