If you would like to volunteer to help cut firewood, or fix up and tidy a hut, call Les Carter, at (250) 362-5677, retrac01@telus.net.
I am organizing a master list of cabin enthusiasts, and planning some work parties for the next weeks (before our huge dump of snow arrives).
The more volunteers, the less work per person, and the more party.
Although this is not yet an official initiative of the Friends of the Rossland Range, it looks forward to the time when we have received a Designated Recreation Tenure over our Rossland Range high country, and will be officially in charge of making sure the huts are happy.
If you haven’t seen the FORRS tenure proposal, check it out at www.rosslandrange.org. If we are successful, it will mean that the community’s favorite huts will have an official home, and some protection.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Les
