You stand balanced on the center of the turning ski and pressure it through the turn. At the end of the turn, you switch to the other foot and repeat. You do this on mellow slopes, on steep slopes, in open bowls, in trees, on sunny days and on days you can’t seek the forest for the snow.
That’s it. You balance on a ski sliding down a hill.
Skiing is simple.
I’m only half jesting. Watch a great skier on the hill and notice how they seem to simply stand on their ski riding down the hill. In essence, they are doing just that.
