Looking for residents interested in participating in Climate Change Adaptation Steering Committee
by Jennifer Ellis on 06 Oct 2009
The Sustainability Commission and City of Rossland are undertaking a Communities Adapting to Climate Change Initiative with the Columbia Basin Trust. The Commission is seeking residents interested in being part of the project Steering Committee.
The overarching goals of the project are to research potential climate change impacts in Rossland, establish community priorities for adapting to those impacts and develop action plans in association with those community priorities.
The Steering Committee will direct and oversee the project and assist in engaging the public on these important issues. The project will run from October 2009 to July 2010. It is expected that the Steering Committee will meet once a month or once every two months.
If you are interested in being part of the Steering Committee, please contact Jennifer Ellis at visionstoaction@gmail.com, or download an application form at www.visionstoaction.ca.
This is a great way to be involved in planning for the future in your community.
