UPDATED:  Volunteers still needed

Seven Summits staff have been hard at work as volunteers, working on their own time, to get the red-roofed church ready for its new role by the start of the new school year. So far, crews of students, parents, and other community volunteers have pitched in to help, but there is still a lot to be done.  Painting, and lots of it — it’s a big space.  Some repairs. Some construction. All to benefit Rossland as a whole, because this is the school that enables Rossland to host the Ski Academy, and students to attend the dance school here.
If you’re willing and able to help (don’t forget the “feel-good” benefits!), PLEASE email Sue or Ann to set up times you can come help. You can also text Ann at 250-921-4302 if you prefer. For students and parents of students, the work can count toward the student and/or parent volunteer hours

Studies show helping others leads to greater happiness and longer life.

So come out and help get the new Seven Summits Centre for Learning ready for the kids this fall and help yourself while helping others. It’s a win-win!
Bring (if you have any):  rags, buckets, scrub brushes, tools (screwdrivers, hammers, pry bars, etc), paint brushes, rollers, roller trays, scrapers, patching tools, sanders (palm or belt)

Wear:  Clothes you don’t mind getting dirty or paint-stained.  Dust mask?

Here are some specific times you can come help:

Anytime from 9am – 3pm on July 26th, 27th, 28th

Mon. July 31 and Tues. Aug 1 from 10:30am – 5pm

Wed. Aug 2 from 10:30am – 3pm.

Thurs. Aug 3rd 12pm -5pm.

Aug. 7–11  from 9am to 3pm

Thursday, Aug 10 from 5pm – 9pm

Saturday, Aug. 12 from 9am – 5pm

Sunday, Aug 13 from 12:30pm – 7pm

If you’d like to come outside of these times, just contact Sue and Ann
and they will open the
centre to let you in to work.

There are lots of jobs so don’t be shy, and bring a helpful friend or two if you can! Don’t worry if you don’t have any tools or supplies  to bring; 7 Summits can provide them.

The school year will be starting again before we know it!  (Sorry, but it’s true.)
