Two alleged prolific offenders are now behind bars, according to Trail RCMP Sgt. Darren Oelke.

“On Oct. 9, Melody Grace Hutchinson, 24 years old of Trail, was sentenced to serve weekends at the Trail Detachment for a Theft Under conviction out of Castlegar. When Hutchinson did not attend for her very first weekend charges were laid for being Unlawfully at Large and a warrant was issued. She also failed to surrender herself for her next weekend as well. On Oct. 31,  Hutchinson was arrested in Trail and has also been charged with Breach of Probation and Theft Under.”

Oelke said the following day saw a more dramatic turn of events.

“On Nov. 1, at 10:44 hours the Trail RCMP were called to an apartment on Rossland Avenue for a robbery in progress. When police arrived they found a male who had been robbed and badly beaten,” Oelke said. “Investigation led to Trevor Joseph Isenor, 36 years old of Trail, being arrested and charged with Robbery, Break and Enter, and Assault Causing Bodily Harm.

“Police are looking for another male related to this incident,” he added.

Both Hutchinson and Isenor were held in custody for court today in Nelson.
