Original story:

The Eastshore United Soccer team hosts its annual KING O’ THE BALLS  tournament at Crawford Bay’s  excellent grass pitch at Crawford Bay Park,  Saturday August 25 and Sunday the 26th.

This event brings teams from both East and West Kootenays to compete for the trophy.  Last year’s winner, Rossland, will be on the pitch again, against Creston, Cranbrook, Slocan and the host team, Eastshore United.

Start time both days is 9:00 AM and the games are one hour – we’re not tackling the 90 minute times of the Major Soccer League’s games.   Play continues through the day until dusk.

John Edwards is out every day watering and caring for the grass which is always fresh and clean. Grass sometimes means muddy uniforms, but not here.

This is exciting football so it’s well worth making the trip for the two full days.  Come out to boost for your town’s team.
