Trail and Castlegar CRU arrest two in drug raid

On Aug. 9, around 6 p.m., the Trail and Castlegar Joint Crime Reduction Unit, Trail General Investigation Section, and Trail General Duty police officers executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act at a residence on Coleman Street in Trail. A 48-year-old male and a 47-year-old female were arrested and taken into custody by police. Police seized fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, drug trafficking paraphernalia, prohibited weapons, and a firearm.

Amanda Marie Moosewaypayo has been detained in custody and will make her first appearance in Rossland provincial court on Sept. 13. Scott Allen Lerch remains in custody and will appear make an appearance today in provincial court in Castlegar (Aug. 15).

This is another successful investigation into drug traffickers in a recent series of investigation by the Trail and Castlegar Joint Crime Reduction Unit.
