The BCHL and the Trail Smoke Eaters have announced the dates for the 2022 BCHL Showcase, once again taking place in Chilliwack this October.

The Showcase will take place between Monday, October 17th and Thursday October 20th at the Chilliwack Coliseum, with the Smoke Eaters playing their two games on Tuesday and Wednesday. The BCHL’s annual Showcase sees all 18 teams descend on Chilliwack for the four day event, allowing both NCAA and NHL scouts to get their eyes on every team and player.

The Smoke Eaters will play Tuesday, October 18th at 2:30 p.m. against the Cowichan Valley Capitals, with the game being played on Chilliwack’s Secondary Rink and Trail being the “Home” team for the matchup.

They’ll wrap up their showcase series against the Coastal Conference Champions Nanaimo Clippers on Wednesday October 19th at 4 p.m. The Smoke Eaters will then return home to face the Powell River Kings on Saturday October 22nd at 7pm.

“Our annual Showcase is the first step for many of our athletes on their journey to receiving an NCAA Division I scholarship,” said BCHL Chief Operating Officer Steven Cocker.

“Many relationships are built between players and coaches during the event, so this is always a very important part of our league’s schedule.”

Tickets for the 2022 BCHL Showcase will be released at a later date for fans wanting to make the trip to Chilliwack.
