Are you interested to learn about environmental activities and projects happening in Rossland and how you can get involved?  Come to the Annual General Meeting for the Rossland Society for Environmental Action (RSEA) on Tuesday, October 25, to hear about RSEA’s recent successes,  plans for the future and to provide input on what you think are important environmental issues in our region.

Formed in 2013, RSEA’s mandate is to support the delivery of environmental projects in Rossland and the surrounding area.  The North Jubilee Wetland Restoration project is RSEA’s showcase project while RSEA has also supported groups, such as the Community Garden, to apply for and administer grants.

Short presentations on RSEA’s recent projects and future plans will be highlighted at the AGM which include getting the Rossland Streamkeepers program up and running and also doing more interactive environmental awareness projects including a “Bioblitz” at the newly restored Centennial Wetland in the spring.

Board members are actively being recruited for board of director positions.  If you have time to put towards taking environmental action in your community, this could be the board for you!

Date: Tuesday, October 25, 2016

Time: 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm (AGM) 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm (discussion)

Location: The Alpine Grind
