December 9th, 2017

The RCAC is excited to announce our brand new website and first ever Membership drive! We’re changing and inviting Rosslanders to play a huge part in their Arts Council!

Most people know the RCAC for some things but the breadth and width of our operations and art installations is often a big surprise.

From regular shows at the Miners Hall including music, dances, comedy and theatre, to choosing and purchasing or leasing the many amazing sculptures around town.  How about spearheading and managing the fund raising and beautiful renovation of our cherished Miners Hall, in conjunction with the city?  As organizers of Art exhibitions and street art, did you know we were behind the cool thoughts and poems appearing only in the rain on the sidewalks this summer? Strong support for local and emerging BC musicians and artists through the Joe Hill Coffee House series, children’s events and movies are just a few of things we do.

Immediate launch of our 2018 Membership Drive!

Register online now and you’ll be eligible for some very cool prizes, drawing on December 20th, just in time for Christmas. And speaking of Christmas, at just $10, what a great stocking stuffer for friends and family! Your new or continuing membership goes a long way to helping us continue to bring the very best in mountain Arts and Culture to Rossland!

RCAC funding is based almost entirely on constantly applying for grants, with minor profits from events, memberships, donations and a small contribution from the city. The volunteer Board is always very busy and would like to offer a big thanks to our volunteers over the years.

And, a completely new Volunteer Program will also be announced in January  ̶̶  stay tuned!

Editor’s Note:  Organizations with larger memberships tend to be more successful when applying for grants. Membership is about more than the fees!
