Mountain Film Fest in full swing...tonight!

Friday’s Teck Mountain Gala at the Prestige features a silent art auction and 8 films. Proceeds from this year’s art auction will go to the Rossland Skatepark Association. Tickets to the event include a complimentary glass of wine, gourmet appies, and the the musical stylings of Sue and Gabe from the Toques. The Flying Steamshovel After Party kicks off at at 10 pm with Festival Favourites & guaranteed good times with MC Jonathan Provencal.

Saturday includes the family matinee, a Digital Film-making Workshop at the Miner’s Hall, and the always awesome Reel Youth Film Festival, also at the Miner’s Hall. The festivities extend into the night with the Nelson District & Credit Union Saturday Mountain Films & Party, with 10 films including Sweetgrass Productions’ Afterglow and Brick and Mortar’s Foundation of a Freerider. Festival-goers will want to ditch their Sorels and put on their dancing shoes for the unforgettable Kytami: Violinistextremist.

The Festival wraps up on Sunday with Keynote Speaker and Mountaineer Greg Hill at the Ross Thompson Ballroom in the Prestige.
