Motorcycle accident sends woman to hospital Thursday
Details remain sketchy surrounding an accident that sent a local woman in her 50s to hospital on Thursday.
Trail RCMP Sgt. Rob Hawton said the accident happened downtown at just after 3 p.m., at the intersection of Victoria Street and Bay Avenue.
"A female motorcycle driver was injured after a collision with a car," he said. "She was transported to hospital and kept overnight, but I have no word on her present condition."
As for the cause of the accident, Hawton said there's insufficient evidence to come to any conclusion, particularly in regard to fault.
"Upon further review of the file, it appears there is insufficient evidence to lay charges against either driver/operator, so our investigation is being concluded at this time," he said.
No one else was injured in the crash.
