Lions Show Appreciation for Students' Help

Don Vinish of the Rossland Golden City Lions presents a cheque to the grade 7 and 8 students of Rossland Summit School (RSS) in appreciation for their participation in the spring cleanup at the Lions Campground.
Fifty RSS students in total joined in the effort to spruce up our community campground and prepare it for the 2015 camping and RV season.
They were fund raising to finance a field trip, but when the disastrous earthquake struck Nepal, they decided to make a donation to the Nepal relief effort instead, to help people in much greater need than themselves.
