Golf Tournament: Fun Fundraiser at Redstone

If you know how to swing a golf club, plan for a fun time at  Redstone on Saturday, August 12.  It’s a nine-hole golf tournament to raise funds for the next phase of Rossland’s Museum renovation.  Teams of four will vie for various prizes, starting at 3:00 p.m.  If you don’t arrive as part of a team, you may be assigned to one.

Prizes include overnight hotel stays at The Josie Hotel, Prestige Rossland, Best Western Plus Downtown Spokane as well as gift certificates to Rossland Brewery, Trail Beer Refinery, Aka Dake Sushi and Alpine Grind, and Passes to Red Mountain Resort, Blackjack Cross Country, Redstone, Christina Lake Golf Club and more.

Here’s one to try for: the hole-in-one prize of $10,000 — yes, ten thousand dollars — provided by Hall Printing.  This wil be the golf tourney’s third year, and no one has won it yet. Could you be the first?

The price of your ticket to play in the tournament includes the green fee, a cart, an “al fresco” dinner by Chef Jamie, one drink ticket (there will be a cash bar for a second drink), a “goodie bag” and a donation to the Museum’s reno fund.

During dinner, diners will be able to buy raffle tickets for more chances to win something, and to support the Museum.

How much, you ask?  Tickets cost $55.00 for Redstone members, and $80.00 for non-members.  If you don’t golf or don’t have time for the tourney but would like to enjoy that al fresco dinner and good company, you can pay a mere $40.00 for just the dinner and a donation to the Museum.

It’s all good fun, and a way to support an important part of the community.
