GALLERY: Rossland's new downtown revealed

No matter what one's feelings about parallel parking and/or checkout stand democracy, we're sure all right-thinking denizens of the Mountain Kingdom will unite behind the belief that these images, supplied by Mayor Greg Granstrom, are...mighty purty.

Something to look forward to for the fall--and a fine complement to the impending unveiling of the Olaus Jeldness statue outside Rouge shortly thereafter!

But you should have seen the Original plan.  Room for maket stalls in the summer and proper sidewalk clean up in the winter.  A little crying over parking and we have to settle.  Oh well if you can't do it right at least do it half way..   Looks good.  Looks a lot like before..

Woo hoo crosswalks are back.

About time we had safer street crossings. I know it is all about MOT road street widths but what happened to common sense. Good change.

I still wonder where skiing hitchhikers will stand at the bottom of Washington. Maybe this is a 'sign' and we will get a shuttle again:)

OK, truth time,

When do the parking meters go in? 

Will anyone from council step up and say yes they will be installed or no, there will be no parking meters in Rossland.
