Welcome to the Megaphone. This is your place to post the news that matters to you. If someone's getting married or getting born, this is the place to let your community know. If you want to thank someone for a good turn or lambaste the noisy, nosy, or woefully ignorant, do it here. Basically, anything you think your community need to know about: use the megaphone and make yourself heard.

My dog Harper has been creating quite commotion about town lately. For those of you who don't know, Harper is the big black dog that has been greeting you for the last many months outside of Ferraro Foods here in Rossland. To all of you who have expressed concern for her in recent weeks I am so grateful that you all care. She feels the love. I will begin by telling you that she is more than well...

It has taken me awhile to get around to doing this, but I want to say THANK YOU to whoever cleared the fallen trees on Centennial Trail and up on Larry's Loop last month after the wind storm. It's a bit of a drag when those trees fall across the trail and interrupt a nice flowiy ski or run..and especially so early in the season. Thanks again, and I just have to emphasize how amazingly lucky we...

Rossland Trail Bear Aware would like to give a big thanks to our supporters this year. Thank you to Columbia Basin Trust, the cities of Trail & Rossland, BC Conservation Foundation and Nelson and District Credit Union. Also, huge kudos to all the Dumpster Deputies who helped keep garbage inaccessible to the bears. See you in the spring!

Please come to City Hall tonight and support the vote at Rossland Council to implement a by-law limiting the use of cosmetic pesticides. This is our last chance to get the by-law in before a change in Council. It will also support efforts to get a BC-wide law - which would have greater power. Support a pesticide-free Rossland!
