Police seek tips on solar panel theft

Sometime overnight on Saturday, August 14th to Sunday, August 15th, 2010, two solar panels used to power warning signs were stolen from a roadway construction zone on Highway 3B east of Rossland, B.C. The theft occurred near the entrance to Redstone Resort. The black panels, owned by Interoute Construction Ltd., were removed from two orange trailers which display traffic safety information to motorists. The panels are valued at $3,000.00 each. Anyone with information is asked to call the Trail RCMP at (250) 364-2566 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (1-800-222-8477).
