Nakusp & District 2nd Annual Winter Carnival

Come & check out Nakusp's 2nd Annual Winter Carnival, Feb. 10-12, 2012. Kicking off the weekend, is a Chili Cook-off & torch light parade on Friday 10th, at the Summit Lake Ski Hill, and back down at the arena the Nakusp Falcons take on the Sr. Falcons in a fundraiser hockey game. On Saturday, head down to the arena and start the day off with a a great hot Breakfast provided by the Nakusp Volunteer Fire Department, enter a team in the Curling Bonspiel or in the 2nd annual Parking lot Shinny Tournament, enjoy a Parkur Demonstration, Figure Skating Skate-a-thon, several Minor Hockey games, a tail gate BBQ hosted by the Nakusp Falcons Midget Rep Team, Bavarian Gardens, roast marshamallows over one of several fire pits in the parking lot, try your luck at the raffle table or 50/50 draws and Sunday wraps up the weekend when the Nakusp Falcons take on Grand Forks at 10:00 and our Nancy Green racers compete in their Zone races at the Summit Lake Ski Hill.
