WHAT IS COHOUSING?
An interactive presentation describing the characteristics, advantages and variety of this form of community housing. Facilitated by Stuart McKinnon and Wolf Willow from the Middle Road Cohousing Community in Nelson BC.
Cohousing is a form of sustainable, intentional community, describing neighborhoods that combine the autonomy of cost-effective private dwellings with the advantages of shared resources, community living, consensus decision-making and common values - generally including organic gardening, energy efficiency, shared community buildings and common green spaces.
Representatives of potential local cohousing projects will be attending and will add to the discussion.
Presentation at the Anglican Church Hall, Grand Forks. Donations not expected, but gratefully accepted.
