Learning Centre Administrator position
Contract: 0.5 (2.5 days a week), runs August 27 to June 28, 2019 (renewable on a yearly basis)
Salary: $22,960 - $30,960, based on qualification
Successful applicants will provide the following: liaise with various educational and athletic partners; communicate with students, teachers, parents and SD71 with regards to educational matters; develop workshops and educational opportunities with community businesses and mentors; be actively involved in the daily functioning of the centre; demonstrate leadership and interpersonal skills; develop and oversee Centre schedule and activities; attend board meetings; work with the treasurer, president and accountant to develop and oversee budget.
Position Requirements: Teaching degree or Bachelor degree; strong managerial and financial skills;
experience with distributed learning information technologies an asset
Seven Summits Centre for Learning is a non-profit, distributed learning centre partnered with School District 71 and has been operating since 2013. Our grade 8 to 12 students work both online and with B.C. certified teachers on the premises, where they can balance academics with personal pursuits in a supportive environment.
