What we don’t find on that list of ‘things-to-do’ is food.

Deconstructing Dinner

A fossil-fuel free distributor of food is emerging in Seattle and creating new connections between the field, the water and the fork. For over a year now, Deconstructing Dinner has been documenting the evolution of Canada’s first community supported agriculture (CSA) project for grain. Located in the West Kootenay region of British Columbia, the CSA has also been the catalyst for many more firsts, one of which was likely the first inland distribution of food by sailboat in the province’s history.

Bill

Bill works for a company debugging software. Last year Bill started working three days in the office and two days at home. Interestingly, he proved to his boss that he was more productive during the two days at home than he was during the three days in the office. Since then Bill has not only managed to convince his boss that he can work full time from home, but that his home doesn't even need to be in the same city. Bill has just moved and he now works full time for his company in Vancouver from the comfort of his home office in Rossland.

Apparently in their boundless wisdom, City Council is taking yet another run at ILO's preschool. Come on guys our children need this stuff. I guess it matters not to any of the elected officials, as bike trails are higher on their list than education. The flavor of the day is has taken us over. Word has it that council is releasing new guidelines, that the miners hall not be used for anything permanent. I SAY, I SAY pardon..... Were we not just wining last winter that it was under used???
